A local old age home is being cited by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care following a series of inspections over the late summer.
The government took issue with Hogarth Riverview Manor’s practices saying they didn’t comply in several areas.
A record review of the home turned up a dietary aide was internally disciplined for abuse towards a resident.
The inspection also showed a personal support worker failed to provide care for a resident and neglected to care for them properly.

The home was put under third-party management in December of 2017.
Officials with St. Joseph’s Care Group tell us “the most recent Inspection at Hogarth Riverview Manor saw the issuance of 5 compliance orders, as well as a number of notices and voluntary plans of correction to bring the Home into full compliance with the Long-Term Care Homes Act.”
They go on to say “St. Joseph’s Care Group received the reports nearly one month ago, and has since submitted a plan of correction, including time lines, which has been reviewed and approved by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Inspections and Compliance Branch. “
