A minor electrical malfunction in a third floor light forced the evacuation of the office building at Park Avenue and Water Street.
The incident happened during the noon hour when fire officials say a small light fixture started smoking causing the automatic fire alarm to be set off.
The building is occupied by several offices including 99.9 The Bay, The Alzheimer’s Society, and several financial institutions.
No one was hurt, and most workers were allowed back in the building about an hour later.
