2 people saved from overdose with Naloxone

2 lives have been saved following a rapid response from Thunder Bay Emergency Services.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to a residence on Tupper Street on Thursday evening for two people who were without vital signs.

Responding officers administered Naloxone to one of the individuals, while a bystander administered Naloxone to the second.

Both individuals regained a pulse and were transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre by paramedics.

The Thunder Bay Police Service is reminding the public of the dangers of narcotics use. Narcotics purchased on the street often contain unknown substances and dosages.

Anyone treated for an overdose should still seek medical attention even if they appear to have fully recovered.
