There’s been an increase in the number of complaints against City Police that are being investigated.
In 2017, police report that 13 are being investigated internally compared to only 8 being looked into in 2016.
They recevieved a total of 54, however most were withdrawn, not accepted or unproven.
Meanwhile, one has already informally been resolved, and another is going to a Police Act Hearing.
The complaints mostly surrounded the actions of officers including discreditable conduct, neglect of duty and unnecessary use of force. (File photo)
