Quick action from Thunder Bay Fire Rescue helped extinguish a morning house Fire on Gore Street West.
Crews were sent to the area on Wednesday around 7:00 a.m. after a passerby noticed smoke coming from a home and reported it.
When they got on scene, a resident of the home was located with injuries from the fire.
Crews attacked the fire from inside the house and were able to bring the situation under control.
The building was searched to ensure there was nobody else inside.
The injured resident was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
