Too soon for Halloween costume ideas? Or not?

Last week, a friend of mine asked me if I was going to any Halloween parties. I said, No. To be honest, I enjoy the ‘spooky season’….but, from an outside perspective. I like to see people dressed up, celebrating Halloween! We don’t decorate our house. We enjoy handing out candy……and that’s pretty much it.

So…I asked my friend what his costume is for the ‘big party’. He has no clue. His wife is dressing up as Elphaba from Wicked.

Every year around this time, I like to share my list of what I call “literal Halloween costumes”. You don’t need much, they’re easy……..and hilarious.

For example:

Wear a striped shirt; cut out a piece of cardboard in the shape of a piece of toast; and wear a beret. You’re going as:  FRENCH TOAST

Wear a green t-shirt; print and cut out a bunch of pics of Avocados (whole / cut in half); tape them to your t-shirt; get some ‘angel wings’ / a ‘halo’. You’re going as:  HOLY GUACAMOLE

Get some boxing gloves; a plastic glass and paint it white; cut out a piece of cardboard in the shape of a cookie. You’re going as:  A TOUGH COOKIE

This is me from October ’23, dressed up as “Wilson” from the TV sitcom “Home Improvement”. It didn’t take much…see! LOL.
