Thunder Bay Fire Rescue extinguish fire on Royal Street

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was able to put out a fire before it caused too much damage.

Around 12:30 Saturday afternoon smoke was reported coming out of a bunglow on Royal Street.

The occupants of the home managed to get out without incident.

The first fire crew on the scene applied water to extinguish the fire and ventilation was used to remove smoke from the building.

A search of the home confirmed there was no one else in the building at the time of the fire.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue says six pumper trucks; an aerial ladder truck and a command vehicle all responded to the incident.
