Tonight is a great night to celebrate some Canadian music! 2 days before Canada Day (and our own Top 100 Canadian Songs of All Time broadcast!) The Juno Awards, which usually happen in March, will be live streamed tonight starting at 7pm! It comes courtesy of CBC’s GEM streaming service as well as on their Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages. This year, the Junos were supposed to take place in Saskatoon but, of course, COVID-19 had other plans and the awards ceremony was cancelled with less than a week to go before the event. It was unfortunate for those of us who love to watch music awards shows, but even more unfortunate for all of the nominees since the winners were never announced! Thankfully the wait will be over today! I’ll be heading straight home after work, getting into my Kenora Dinner Jacket, grabbing a wobbly pop and bowl of poutine to celebrate myself!
You can check out the list of Nominees here if you’ve forgotten who was nominated!
And you can go here to find all of the places to watch the awards on June 29th!
