TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD! Being at the right place – at the right time!

4 times a day, Danny brings you “TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD”. Danny shares ‘good news stories’ / ‘feel good stories’…kind of like your ‘daily dose of optimism’. You can hear it weekdays at 6:35am / 9:10am / 1:10pm / 4:35pm.

Here’s one from TODAY:

This good news story comes from a small town in Tennessee. A 21 year old furnace technician was simply doing his job, when an unexpected twist, turned him into a hero. A couple of weeks ago, Cameron Lowe was set to visit the home of David Killian. David scheduled a routine maintenance. The original appointment date was actually moved up. Cameron called David and said he had some free time and was hoping to move up his appointment by 3 hours. David said “sure”. David was outside mowing his neighbors lawn, his wife was out at a charity event.

When the technician arrived, he found David unconscious in the backyard. He felt dizzy, overheated and he collapsed. The timing was unbelievable, as Cameron rushed over to him. He called 911…and essentially – saved his life! Despite not knowing CPR, the 911 operator gave him instructions on chest compressions before the paramedics arrived.

Reflecting on the events, David, the homeowner said, “I think God stopped my heart, to open up Cameron’s heart”. The 2 have formed an amazing friendship in a very short span of time.
