There are currently 2 active COVID-19 outbreaks in the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.
The first is at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences in unit 1A – Acute Oncology and the second is at Wilkes Terrace in Terrace Bay.
There are restrictions on admissions, transfers, discharges, social activities, and visitation in the affected facilities until further notice.
An outbreak is declared at a facility when there is a higher-than-average rate of respiratory symptoms among the residents.
