Table for 3,400?

Picture this: you and your partner head out for dinner… maybe a table for two, maybe a table for six. But how about a table for 3,400 people?

That’s exactly what happened in downtown Denver, where a nonprofit group called Longer Tables pulled off the first‑ever mile‑long dinner table — literally 5,300 feet of twists, turns, and total strangers sitting down together for one giant shared meal.

The whole idea was simple: connection. Meet someone new, share a conversation, pass the bread… and enjoy food catered entirely by local restaurants and farmers. The energy was so good, guests said it felt contagious.

And just to make the night even sweeter, Southwest Airlines surprised the crowd with ten round‑trip tickets so people could reconnect with family.

The event was such a hit, they’re already planning to make it annual one.

A mile‑long table… and a whole lot of community.
