Six New Cases, But 11 Resolved

Another drop in the total number of active COVID-19 cases for the Thunder Bay District.

The health unit says there are six new cases, but 11 are resolved, putting the active count at 103 for today.

Yesterday it was 108.

Of today’s, three are at the jail, and one is at the correctional centre.

The health unit adds another person has been admitted to hospital, putting that total to three, with one patient in intensive care.

Since the pandemic began, 1070 people locally have been infected, with 27 deaths.

Provincially, the news is shaping up a bit better as well. There are just over 1,000 new cases today, a count not seen since November. However, there are 17 deaths.
