There is a new executive director at the Thunder Bay headquartered EcoSuperior. Sue Hamel tells us she accepted the position because her life’s work and background in education has always been aligned with the ecological organization’s objectives.
For Hamel that means “learning about how we can live better…so that we can have a healthy future for all species.”
One of several goals she has set is to take some of EcoSuperior’s programming into the region, by “building stronger relationships with Indigenous communities…and even expanding some of the educational programming…to deepen it and hopefully build more trans-formative experiences.”
Hamel takes over the executive director position from Ellen Mortfield. She credits Mortfield for bringing the organization to where it is today suggesting she has big shoes to fill.
