Murder Victim Indentified

The name of the city’s seventh murder victim of 2020 has been released.

Police say 47 year old Lydia Jacob of Thunder Bay died on Friday after an incident at an apartment at 320 Dawson Street.

They are not releasing the cause of her death.

Charged with second degree murder in the case is 21 year old Lyrina Jacob.

Considering the names of those involved, police tell us they are not commenting on the exact relationship between the victim and accused, except to say they knew each other.
