LU Thunderwolves Hockey is back!

Thursday night, LU returned to the ice after over 600 days to begin the regular season. It’s a 3 night home series vs the York Lions. Thunderwolves lost the first game 6-2.

It was a great feeling walking up to the Fort William Gardens to get ready to watch hockey again. I had my ‘QR code’ ready for the staff at the door. All was clear and made my way into the Gardens. Over 1,100 fans were there. AND….that new scoreboard. It’s about time. I do have a question: how much did that new scoreboard cost?

The Gardens looks great inside and all I kept thinking about was the Scotties Tournament Of Hearts in the new year! Canada’s top female curlers will make their way to Thunder Bay at the end of January, and spend a week inside the Gardens fighting for that Scotties title.

If you’re off to to see the T’wolves this weekend………..enjoy! Don’t forget your ‘proof of vaccine’. Cheers to a great day! ~Danny.
