Local COVID Vaccinations On Pause

No new shipments of the COVID-19 vaccine have come to Thunder Bay for many days now.

So far in the district, the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre tells us there is a sufficient supply of the Pfizer vaccine to provide second doses until the next expected shipment.

To date, 2680 people have received a vaccine, with 630 getting both the first and second doses.

The hospital anticipates getting more vaccines “shortly” to complete second doses to long-term care residents and other health care workers within the target time frame and to resume vaccinating with first doses.
