A lightning strike was the cause of a fire at a Dog Lake Road home.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue say it ruptured the natural gas line on the side of the home. They were called out just before 9:00 Monday morning.
The first crew on the scene called for backup and were able to knock down the fire to prevent it from spreading to the rest of the home. The damage was limited to the deck and the exterior of the house.
Nobody was hurt.
