UPDATE: 911 largely back online after outages, says OPP

Across the whole province, 911 services are largely back online after some reported outages.

It was about 4 this morning when the OPP say they started getting calls about 911 outages.

They told anyone who had an emergency to reach out to the OPP non-emergency line, which is still operating at 1-888-310-1122.

The OPP says they continued to get calls for help during the outage.

All provincial communications centres are getting calls, but it is possible some calls may still be disrupted, the OPP says.

If that happens, they say you should call the non-emergency line.

No word yet on what caused the outage.

Meanwhile, Bell Canada says they had an outage around 3:13 a.m. ET. They brought backup systems online to route emergency calls while they investigated.

Just after 9 a.m., they in a statement that service has been fully restored. They are still investigating to determine the cause.
