The Thunder Bay Police Service is investigating the discovery of human remains located Friday in the Thunder Centre area.
While few details are available at this time the Major Crime Unit is involved in the ongoing investigation.
In a statement the police service notes there is no threat to public safety.
A separate investigation which was reported yesterday regarding a police presence in the same area is ongoing.
Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
