Go ahead….have a “HOT TODDY”!!!

Today, January 11th is National Hot Toddy Day. There are so many variations to this ‘warm drink’.

The premise behind this came from Western Europe in the 1700’s. It was drank as a “night cap”, but also used to treat a cold or the flu. (no, not Covid).

A quick “Google” of Hot Toddy recipes…..will give you quite a few. Here’s the standard ingredients for a HOT TODDY:

1 ½ oz of Whiskey (or 2oz if you’re feeling like a rebel…LOL)
Hot water
2 tsp of Honey (or sugar, or maple syrup to taste)
2 tsp of Lemon juice

Some calls into the show this morning mentioned using GRAPPA or BRANDY instead of Whiskey. I say……….use whatever makes you feel good! Cheers!
