A pet has died in a house fire in the city’s south side.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue were called to a fire in the 100 block of Banning Street at around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the main and second floors.
All of the occupants of the home were able to escape without harm.
Fire officials say the blaze caused significant damage to the home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
