Delaying The James Whalen Tug Pull

The procurement process to get the James Whalen Tug out of the Kaministiquia River has been delayed.

In an email to Acadia News, Manager of Parks and Open Spaces Cory Halvorsen confirmed on Monday that interested parties have until August 3rd to submit a request for proposal (RFP).

Halvorsen added that the expected completion deadline has also been pushed to Friday, September 30th.

The 117-year-old vessel has been sitting at the bottom of the waterway since it sank on Sunday, May 1st.
