Thunder Bay launches clean-up trailer in hopes for a cleaner city

Citizens of Thunder Bay now have access to a free clean-up trailer.

Community groups can reserve the trailer to help clean and enhance small spaces, which holds cleaning tools, safety supplies and litter storage.

This includes items like shovels, litter pickers, waste bags, safety vests and first aid.

Volunteer groups can request the trailer and a city staff member will tow it to the desired area.

The goal is to provide an accessible and transportable resource to help keep the city clean and green. It can also provide meaningful volunteer opportunities to the public and increase civic pride.

Areas that can be cleaned are public parks, parking lots and alleyways.

Users are asked to wear the safety equipment provided in the trailer when using the cleaning tools.
