City Moves Forward With Services Review

Grant Thornton LLP has been hired by the city to look for savings in how their programs and services are delivered.

There are two phases to the review with the first expected to be completed by mid-November.

The consulting firm is set to get feedback from city employees, elected officials, and city residents.

This review will not directly impact Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and Superior North EMS.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue is currently undergoing a separate review through the development of a Thunder Bay Fire Rescue Master Fire Plan, and Superior North Emergency Medical Service’s strategic plan review is pending.

In March 2019, City Council approved the review and in June they approved the budget for it which at the time was expected to be around $256-thousand dollars.
