November 25, 1940 – July 25, 2026

Mr. Douglas Carl Hindle, age 85 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday July 25, 2026 after a fulfilling day of visiting with family and close friends. Doug was born, raised and educated in Fort William and attended Francis St. School and Fort William Collegiate and Vocational Institute. He was employed as a Drafting Engineer with V.B. Cooke until he started his own concrete forming company, Northern Forms Co. Ltd. which he ran until his retirement. Doug led an active life of competitive rowing and sailing but his true passion was downhill skiing which he continued to do until he was 83. Doug is survived by his Spouse Jacki Barnes, Sister Jan (Jon) and niece Calli. He was predeceased by his Parents Carl and Mabel. Cremation has taken place and a private gathering for Family and close friends will be held at a later date. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay or the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Multiple Myeloma Hematology Clinic would be greatly appreciated.
