The Township of Terrace Bay and the City of Thunder Bay have entered into an agreement to construct a new ambulance base serving North Shore communities.
These communities include Terrace Bay, Jackfish, Schreiber, Rossport, Pays Plat First Nation, and several surrounding unincorporated areas.
The base will be located at 1006 Highway 17 in Terrace Bay. Amenities include three drive-through ambulance bays and modern facilities for paramedics.
Thunder Bay will lease the base on behalf of Superior North EMS.
