Linda Legarde

September 14, 1964 – May 25, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Linda Legarde (nee Sagutch), age 61 years, peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Monday, May 25, 2026 with family by her side.

Linda was born in Auden, Ontario on September 14, 1964 and was a proud member of Long Lake #58 First Nation. She dedicated her life to taking care of her husband and children, creating a loving home for them. Linda enjoyed watching movies, with her favourite one being “Grumpy Old Men”. She also loved music, listening to it as much as possible. Linda’s greatest passion was time spent with family, especially her grandchildren who brought her so much joy. Linda’s big heart, sense of humour and kindness will always be missed, but the memories we shared will forever be cherished by all.

Linda is survived by her husband of nearly 29 years, Moses Legarde; two daughters Destiny (Nick) and Sam, and step-children Dwayne and Crystal; grandchildren Elijah, Nickita, Ronnie, Alaryk, Riley, Aiden, Uriah and Jeremiah; siblings Beverly (Roger), Billy (Jennifer), Sophie (Robert) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and extended family.

She was predeceased by her two sons, Josh and Damien; her parents Tommy and Lena Head; siblings Alexander, Clayton, Thomas Jr. and her son-in-law Preston.

As per Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will be held in Geraldton Pinegrove Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her son.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street, Thunder Bay.
