Walbourne trial begins on Monday

The criminal trial for former Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) lawyer Holly Walbourne opens on Monday April 13 at 10 a.m. at the Thunder Bay Courthouse.

Walbourne is facing charges of obstructing a public or peace officer, breach of trust, and multiple counts of obstruction of justice.

The former police lawyer was charged in the same event that produced charges against former Thunder Bay police chief Sylvie Hauth.

Walbourne and Hauth were initially set to be tried together, but a set of medical circumstances required the two trials to be separated, and for Hauth’s trial to be delayed.
