TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD – a goat runs a 1/2 marathon?

4 times a day, Danny brings you “TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD”. Danny shares ‘good news stories’ / ‘feel good stories’…kind of like your ‘daily dose of optimism’. You can hear it weekdays at 6:35am / 9:10am / 1:10pm / 4:35pm.

Here’s one from TODAY:

This good news story comes from Conception Bay, Newfoundland. Over the weekend – the community held its annual Half Marathon event. In an event – that is truly about the competitors…..turns out….a goat was the undisputed champion. Part way thru the marathon, a goat, who goes by the name Joshua….broke free from his collar and joined the runners on the route. This 150 pound goat kept pace with the runners for about a quarter of the way, before being rounded up by his owners.

The goat lives on a pumpkin patch and loves to watch cars go by, walkers and joggers. So….with this marathon passing near the Patch – the goat couldn’t help but join in. One spectator was quoted as saying, “that would make my day to run with a goat….I wouldn’t even be upset if he was faster than me”.
