Deal struck for Maintair workers

A first deal for workers at Maintair Aviation Services in Thunder Bay.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says a tentative deal with the employer was recently reached.

The workers joined CUPW last November intending to improve working conditions,

The union says their new deal includes significant pay increases, improved benefits and quarterly labour relations meetings.

Maintair workers provide ground handling services at the Thunder Bay International Airport, such as baggage handling, ramp coordination and cleaning of planes.
