The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is dealing with three gastrointestinal outbreaks.
A decrease of two from earlier in the week.
The current outbreaks are all located at Hogarth Riverview Manor in the following areas:
- 1st Floor – Birch Grove Resident Home Area
- 2 South Blue Bell Resident Home Area + 2 North Lavender Resident Home Area
- 6 Noth – Rose Resident Home Area
Outbreaks in Hogarth River Manor’s 4th and 5th floors as well as 7 South – Violet Resident Home Area were declared over in the last 48 hours.
Outbreaks are declared at a facility when there is a higher-than-average rate of respiratory symptoms among the residents.
