Campaign tops $4M to fund “Freedom Convoy” to Ottawa

A GoFundMe fundraiser to pay for a country-wide journey to Ottawa has pulled in over $4.3 million.

The money is being raised for what’s known as the “Freedom Convoy” and has over 55,000 donations.

Those in the convoy are driving to Parliament Hill in a symbolic protest of vaccine mandates.

A member of the Maverick Party in Alberta is organizing the fundraiser – they formed after the Liberals won the 2019 federal election.

According to the GoFundMe, the group wants Ottawa to cease all vaccine mandates and scrap vaccine passports.

The convoy is due to arrive in the nations capital on the weekend.
