Homeless Not Forgotten During Deep Freeze

The Arctic blast we are getting right now can be very dangerous especially for the homeless.

The Salvation Army is working alongside Shelter House providing support to individuals waiting for transport to other shelters.

It says it has received approval for 10 overflow shelter beds that will open shortly in the new Cumberland Street facility.

How can you help?

If you see someone in distress out in the elements, please call SOS at 620-7678.

They will help the person move to a safer location.
