Thunder Bay Pulls Through For Hospital

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation is in shock.

Director of Marketing and Communications Heather Vita is amazed at what happened with Giving Tuesday, a community effort to raise $49,000 for seven pacemaker generators for the cardiac ward. “At the end of that 24 hours I’m so pleased to announce that over $127,000 has been raised. Thanks to the generous nature of our community…. we’re in shock.”

The hospital foundation adds the pacemakers help restart patients’ hearts and stabilize rhythm after surgery.
