Health Unit Going Mobile

A new mobile health unit will be patrolling Thunder Bay streets.

Lance Dyll is with the local health unit, and says the vehicle is coming from EKM Architecture in Montreal, at a cost of over $162,000. “They have designed and provided over 12 of these vehicles across Canada, and completed their own competitive processes to source the vehicles and components of the vehicles to ensure we receiving competitive pricing.”

The District health unit adds this is a priority purchase, with provincial Indigenous communities funding helping in the buy.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
