Digital Records Speed Up Medical Process

A new medical service is now available across the region.

The Northwest Health Alliance says it has reached an agreement with all 12 hospitals in the region to deliver digital records across the province.

Doctors across the northwest region will now be able to get images from 120 hospitals, and over 100 specialty clinics.

This will allow medical professionals to be able to follow-up with their patients sooner after they are discharged from hospitals inside and outside their region.

Hospitals include Lake of the Woods in Kenora, Dryden District, Riverside in Fort Frances and Thunder Bay Regional, just to name a few.
