Police investigate the death of a woman on Fort William

The Anishinabek Police Service says it’s looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of a Fort William First Nation’s woman.

The APS along with Superior North EMS and Thunder Bay Fire Rescue were called to a home in the community on Thursday.

A woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her name is not being released.

The investigation involves a number of agencies including the Anishinabek Police, the OPP’s Crime Unit, and Forensic Identification Unit, and the Chief Coroner of Ontario.
