TBPS arrest 3 on firearms and drug charges

Three men from Toronto have been arrested after a search warrant was executed by the Thunder Bay Police Service.

Officers from the Emergency Task Unit, Intelligence Unit and help from the OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Unit took part in the raid on Frederica Street last Thursday.

Police seized a loaded handgun, quantities of cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, as well as cash and drug paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking.

They face three charges of drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime under $5.000 and several firearms offenses.

One of the suspects also has also been charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, while the other two have been charge with breach of a release order.
They appeared in court this past Friday and have been remanded into custody with a future court appearance dates.
