No reported injuries after Thunder Bay Fire Rescue (TBFRS) crews dealt with smoke from a high rise on South Cumberland Street.
Six pumpers, a Command Unit, and an Aerial Ladder responded to the two-alarm blaze just before 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
It was determined that a fire in a barbeque on the 4th floor was the source of the smoke.
A message from the Fire Department to always have working smoke alarms and an all-purpose extinguisher nearby when cooking or barbequing.

Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
