11 New COVID-19 Cases For Tuesday

More cases of COVID-19 diagnosed at Thunder Bay’s District jail and the Correctional Centre.

The health unit tells us four are at the correctional centre, one at the jail, and its not been revealed whether it’s staff or inmates.

They are part of 11 new cases for Tuesday.

Four others got the virus from being around someone else already with it, while the health unit says it’s not known how another one got it, and there is one case pending for results of origin.

And with 16 resolved cases, that puts the current case count for the region at 150.

A peak at the health unit’s website shows 2 are in hospital, one in ICU.

And, a bit more encouraging news provincially, as today’s new 1,740 cases in the lowest number since mid-December, but with 68 deaths.
