Police in Cook County confirm the identity of a deceased passenger in an early morning accident.
The Sheriff’s Office responding to the incident just after 6:00 Saturday morning.
A tip from a hunter led authorities to the site where a damaged Ford truck and a body was found on the roadway.
The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old William Jay Evans of Litchfield, Minnesota.
A 36 year old from nearby Isabella, Minnesota is being held in the Cook County Jail on charges of Criminal Vehicular Homicide.
An official cause of death will be confirmed by the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
