Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit has cleared an OPP officer in a June 11th, 2019 collision.
They say a crash in the area of Golf Links Road and Donald Caddo Drive left two individuals in a civilian vehicle with serious injuries. Those two individuals were a 75-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman.
The 37-year-old police officer driving the OPP vehicle was also seriously injured in the crash.
The Director of the Special Investigations Unit, Joseph Martino, has determined there are no reasonable grounds to believe that the officer who was driving the police vehicle committed a criminal offence in connection with the accident.
