Summit for small businesses coming to Thunder Bay

Thunder Bay’s chamber of commerce and seven local partners are joining forces to offer a Small Business Solutions Summit.

The one-day event is aimed at providing small businesses with information, networking opportunities, as well as potential solutions for problems their business might be facing.

The event is taking place on October 22.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our community, playing a vital role in our economic and social well-being. They create local jobs, support neighbourhood development, and reinvest profits back into the area, fostering a sense of connection and resilience,” Chamber President Charla Robinson. “We are pleased to be working with local partners to host this conference that is focused on helping small businesses to succeed.”

According to the chamber, attendees will discover practical strategies to improve efficiency, gain actionable tips, and walk away with easy-to-implement takeaways to support growth.

The summit is focusing on delivering insight across areas of business development, including accounting, marketing, finance and technology.

Overall, the summit is set to offer the following:

  • A dynamic luncheon keynote speaker
  • Concurrent sessions, roundtables and panels
  • Networking reception and speed networking
  • Small Business Solutions Expo

While all partner organizations work closely together, the Small Business Solutions Summit marks the first formal, large-scale collaboration between the Thunder Bay Chamber, Buisness Development Bank of Canada Thunder Bay, Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund, Northern Ontario Angels, Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre, PARO, Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission and Thunder Bay Ventures.
