Fire crews respond to 2 fires in Thunder Bay

It was a busy Thursday evening for Thunder Bay Fire Rescue.

Around 6:00 p.m. crews were sent to a home on Pruden Street in response to multiple calls reporting visible smoke coming from the front of the house.

When crews got on the scene, flames could be seen engulfing the front door and nearby windows.

Once crews battled down the flames they entered the home to ensure nobody was inside.

No injuries were reported.

Fire Rescue was able to contain the damage to the house where the fire started, which sustained damage to the main floor.

The fire is currently under investigation.

Later that same evening crews were sent to a fire involving two vehicles in the driveway of a home on Nottingham Cresent.

When crews arrived they found two vehicles engulfed in flames, and quickly put out the fire.

Nobody was inside the vehicles, but the owners were at home.

The house sustained some damage due to the intense heat from the flames.
